Hi, my name is Richard Harper and I am a D.S.A fully qualified driving instructor.... and thankyou for looking through my website

I offer Driving Lessons in and around the Loughborough area, and can promise you the highest quality driving tuition available locally.

The qualification process to becoming an ADI is very lengthy and very demanding, and once qualified we are regularly given a "CHECK TEST" by a senior examiner from the DSA to ensure our standards of tuition meet the criteria set out by the Driving Standards Agency.

On my last "CHECK TEST" I was awarded a "GRADE FIVE" which is one of the highest grade any Driving Instructor can be given, so you are assured the highest quality tuition available within the Driving Instruction Industry.

I now offer the facility to have your lessons recorded using the very latest high tec "in car" recording equipment, which you can then take home, play back at leisure and improve by actually watching any mistakes you've made...
I truly feel this offers a totally unique learning opportunity not readily offered by any other instructor locally.

MORE ABOUT MYSELF

I am 59 years of age and have held a full UK driving licence since I was 17, so apart from being a professional Driving Instructor I have been driving for over 42 years.

I decided to take three additional very demanding "ADVANCED DRIVING TESTS"... THE INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED MOTORIST (I.A.M)...

I was awarded a very prestigous "GOLD" for THE ROYAL SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF ACCIDENTS (R.O.S.P.A), and achieved The DIAMOND AWARD from the DRIVING INSTRUCTORS ASSOCIATION (D.I.A)...
so am very highly qualified driver in my own right, therefore can pass on a wealth of knowledge to my pupils...

Anyone who knows me will all tell you I'm passionate about the art of driving... I ALWAYS strive to be the best driver out on the road, these are the attributes I'll be teaching you on your driving lessons..I cant and wont accept anything less...I do look for perfection!!

I've been happily married to my wife Jane for 31 years.

Jane works part time as a Lunchtime supervisor at Thorpe Acre School. We have three grown up children - all boys.... (How did we survive !!!)

Paul is 29, and is working at the local PEUGEOT garage based on Clarence Street here in Loughborough, as a fully skilled motor technician.

Gary is 27, and is currently working up the career ladder at Aldi, and is currently assistant manager at the shop in Leicester... Married to Katie on Saturday 26th July 2008 at Quorn Grange Hotel, in Quorn.... and it was a truly fantastic day made even more memorable as two of the staff working on the day I also taught how to drive... LIAM HURD & AMY JONES (Yes you guessed correctly both passed first time).

Gary & Katie become parents, as on Saturday 6th Feb 2010... at 1.50am Katie gave birth to a little boy they've called JAKE... he was born 4 weeks early but is now thriving, and doing well....He's a really beautiful little boy.

Katie is a fully qualified staff nurse, and currently works on the Intensive Therapy Unit at Leicester Royal Infirmary...very stressful !! Katie now works part time, and we look after Jake when she's at work...I love being a Grand-dad...

Andrew is 24 he's currently working as a part time fitness instructor at Loughborough, Mountsorrel & Syston Leisure centres.

I taught all three of my boys how to drive - and am pleased to report they all passed their tests at the first attempt.

I would describe myself as being very down to earth extremely patient and have the ability to deal with most circumstances in a calm and controlled manner.

As you can imagine, these are just a few of the basic qualifications needed to teach people how to drive.

I would also describe myself as being very punctual and am quite meticulous regarding time keeping. After all, driving lessons aren't exactly cheap... are they?

If you are paying for an hour you expect to receive an hour - so if I'm ever late due to traffic, I'll always add it on at the end.

I am a non-smoker, so you will learn to drive in a nice clean pleasant environment....

. My 1st time PASS RATE is currently 92%, compared to the national average of 45%, its the attention to detail that makes the difference.... I'm very proud of my pass rate, so I will do everything I can to help you pass your Driving test 1st time.
