You may not be aware, but before you can take your Driving Test, you need to take and pass a "TWO PART" Theory Test. The number of theory test questions is 50..... and you'll need to get a minimum of 44 out of 50 to pass this section....... ( The booking fee is now £31.00 from April 1st 2009) The Hazard Perception Test, which is 15 video clips containing various HAZARDS, of which you need to score a minimum of 44 marks out of a possible 75 to pass. You need to pass BOTH PARTS of this test at the same sitting, otherwise you'll need to re-book and take the test again.. The test can be taken at any number of test centre's all over the UK, the nearest to Loughborough is at Leicester's Theory Centre located in the Rutland Centre in the heart of the city, using a touch screen computer that randomly generates 50 questions from a possible bank of over 800, then moves on to the HAZARD PERCEPTION element, where you need a minimum of 44 out of a potential 75 to pass.. So you'll need plenty of practice before you'll be ready..... Don't rush..... its very easy once you've practiced enough. REMEMBER BOTH PARTS MUST BE PASSED AT THE SAME SITTING.To prepare yourself for this, there are a number of very good CD-ROM's and DVD's which have all the latest questions and answers and video clips. And of course there is always the Highway Code and any number of reference books to refer to. |
